The Mtoni Ruins on Zanzibar Island are the only remains of Sultan Said’s main residence. The aptly named ruins are in disrepair, so prepare yourself for ruins. The sultan used to spend a lot of time here as it was one of his favorite places. It was described as Eden by his daughter.
