The Visitor's Inn is situated in Jambiani, a traditional fishing village on the East Coast of Zanzibar. From airport and town it is a one hours drive.
Presently, the only scheduled airline which flies Zanzibar directly is KLM (with Kenya Airways). During high season, many charters, mainly from Italy fly Zanzibar directly, flights are booked early.
The cheapest way is to fly to Dar es Salaam and then take a charter or a ferry. British Airways, Emirates, South African Airways, Swissair, Air Tanzania, Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines and others offer scheduled flights to Dar.
Between Dar and Zanzibar ferries, speedboats and charter flights are crossing over to Zanzibar. Coastal Air, Precision Airways, Air Express, Air Tanzania and others offering prices between USD 55 and USD 70.
The boat service Dar es Salaam-Zanzibar is very good with many departures daily and the crossing takes 1 hour 45 minutes on the Speed Boats (USD 35), and 3 hours on normal ferries (USD 25)
